ABOUT BURDEN BEARERS COUNSELLING CENTRE

Burden Bearers is a non-profit counselling agency that provides standard and faith based counselling services. Burden Bearers is founded on the Christian Principle of caring for one's neighbour and bearing one another's burdens. The counselors and volunteer board of Burden Bearers, with the financial support of FCSS, and local churches, businesses and community members, strive to fulfill this principle through affordable counselling services for those in need.

The motivation behind Burden Bearers Counselling Centre is best characterized by the following quote from the Bible. When asked by his disciples what the most important lesson was, Jesus replied that after loving God "the second is this: Love your neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater" (Mark 12:28-31)

“We cannot selectively numb emotions, when we numb the painful emotions we also numb the positive”
